From 1 - 25 July 2025, new customers who sign up for a VALR account and complete full verification during the promotion period can earn Bitcoin simply by purchasing and holding cryptocurrency on VALR.

Here's how:

  1. Sign Up and Get Verified: Sign up for a VALR account and complete the KYC 2 verification process to become fully verified. Verification ensures that your account is secure and compliant with all necessary regulations.

  2. Make a Purchase: Purchase at least $50 worth of any cryptocurrency on VALR using our Simple Buy/Sell feature. You can choose from a wide range of cryptocurrencies to get started, and if you’d prefer, you can make multiple smaller purchases that add up to the $50 threshold.

  3. Hold Your Crypto: To remain eligible for your reward, maintain a minimum account balance of $50 worth of crypto until the end of the promotion period. This ensures that you're truly participating in the crypto ecosystem and gives you the opportunity to start building your portfolio.

Earn Bitcoin Rewards

Rewards will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis:

  • First 100 Participants: Earn $20 in Bitcoin each

  • Next 200 Participants: Earn $10 in Bitcoin each

  • Next 200 Participants: Earn $5 in Bitcoin each

  • Bonus $50 BTC Reward: 5 lucky participants who purchase more than $100 worth of crypto and maintain that balance for the duration of the promotion will each be randomly selected to receive a $50 Bitcoin reward.

  • Account Balance Maintenance: You must maintain at least $50 worth of crypto to qualify for the standard rewards. To be eligible for the $50 Bitcoin reward, you must maintain at least $100 worth of crypto.

Please note that the reward will be forfeited if your balance falls below the required amount due to withdrawals, transfers, or any other transactions during the promotion period. VALR reserves the right to conduct random balance checks to ensure eligibility.

Promotion Ts & Cs (“Rules”):

  1. This promotional campaign (“Promotion”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).

  2. This Promotion may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion prohibits or excludes winning in this current Promotion. 

  3. The Promotion period (“Promotion Period”) begins at 00:00 am UTC, July 1st 2025 and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, July 25th 2025 (“closing date”).

  4. Winners will be announced within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  5. Rewards will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  6. This Promotion is available to any qualifying new customers on VALR who sign up, fully verify their account, purchase at least $50 worth of crypto via Simple Buy/Sell during the Promotion Period and maintain an account balance of $50 through to the end of the Promotion Period.

  7. Account Balance Maintenance: Participants must maintain a minimum account balance of $50 in cryptocurrency through to the end of the Promotion Period to qualify for the standard Bitcoin reward (alternatively maintain $100 for the $50 BTC Reward eligibility). Any withdrawals, transfers or transactions that reduced the account balance below the applicable threshold at any time during the Promotion Period will result in disqualification from receiving the relevant Bitcoin reward.

  8. VALR reserves the right to conduct random account balance checks at any time during the Promotion Period. Any failure to meet the required balance thresholds at the time of such checks will disqualify the Participant from receiving the applicable reward.

  9. There is no need to register for this Promotion.

  10. VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.

  11. Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and could amount to zero.

  12. Mystery gifts shall be decided at random by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion. VALR makes no representations or warranties regarding the mystery gift, including but not limited to its fitness for a particular purpose or customer.

Eligibility:

  1. The Promotion is available to new VALR customers who sign up for an account, complete their KYC 2 (Fully-verified status), purchased at least $50 worth of crypto via Simple Buy/ Sell on VALR during the Promotion Period and maintain an account balance of $50 worth of crypto through to the end of the Promotion Period. 

  2. How to enter: 

    1. Sign up with VALR: https://www.valr.com/signup

    2. Complete KYC 2 (Fully- verified status) on VALR

    3. Make one or more purchases of any crypto with a total value of at least $50 via Simple Buy/Sell during the Promotion Period. The value of each purchase will be determined based on the market price at the time of purchase and calculated in USDT. 

    4. Maintain an account balance of at least $50 worth of crypto until the end of the Promotion Period in order to remain eligible for the Bitcoin reward.

Rewards Specifics:

  1. $20 in Bitcoin: Awarded to the first 100 eligible Participants 

  2. $10 in Bitcoin: Awarded to the next 200 eligible Participants 

  3. $5 in Bitcoin: Awarded to the next 200 eligible Participants

  4. $50 in Bitcoin: Awarded to 5 randomly selected Participants who purchased more than $100 worth of Crypto and maintained an account balance of at least $100 worth of Crypto through to the end of the Promotion Period.

  5. Rewards will be paid out in Bitcoin only.

Personal information: 

Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Promotion will be treated in accordance with VALR’s Privacy Policy. 

The nitty gritty:

1. The Promotion is open to all new VALR customers, except VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers as well as any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries.

2. Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Promotion, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Promotion as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Promotion and VALR may freeze or block such Participant's VALR account.

3. For the purposes of this Promotion, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.

4. VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Promotion without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Promotion, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.

5. VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Promotion, suspend their accounts, revoke all associated rewards, and/or  disqualifying specific trades:

5.1. Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:

  • Fraud;

  • Fraudulent registration, including providing false identity verification (KYC) information, using others’ KYC details, or registering multiple accounts;

  • Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities, including but not limited to click farming, device farming, or using malicious tools for fraudulent purposes;

  • Use of fake or fraudulent accounts;

  • Manipulation or violation of these Rules, VALR’s rules, VALR’s policies, campaign terms, conditions or announcements (as updated from time to time); or

  • Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading, laundering trades or illegally bulk registered accounts; or

  • Breach of local regulatory requirements; or

  • Any other activities with the intent or result of abusing, disrupting, or undermining the legitimate operation of the Promotion, as determined by VALR; or

5.2. For any other reason as determined by VALR.

6. If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.

7. VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Promotion has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates. 

8. These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Waiver

The Participant hereby releases, waives and discharges VALR and its affiliates from any and all liability, costs or expenses, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever for any loss or damages, that may be sustained by the Participant arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Promotion, or while in any way engaged with activities related to the Promotion, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur, regardless of who is at fault and including as a result of the negligence or fault of VALR or its affiliates.
