Promotion Ts & Cs (“Rules”):
This promotion (“Promotion”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).
This offer may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion prohibits or excludes winning in this current Promotion.
The Promotional period (“Promotional Period”) begins at 00:00 am UTC, January 27th 2025 and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, February 14th 2025 (“closing date”).
This Promotion is available to both VALR’s existing customers and any qualifying new customers on VALR.
Registration for this Promotion is not necessary and this Promotion is available to all qualifying Participants, save for those excluded from participating in this Promotion in accordance with these Rules.
Rewards for weekly promotional activities (Telegram Activities & KYC Activity) will be distributed within 7 South African business days of the respective weekly promotional activities.
The final rewards based on the overall ranking of Participants in the Year of the Snake Trading Challenge and Referral Activities will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the relevant Promotional Activity closing date.
Winners of weekly activities, as well as winners of the final rewards will have their respective rewards automatically credited into their VALR account within the specified timeframes. Reward winners may also be highlighted in VALR marketing emails such as newsletters and on VALR’s social media pages.
Winners will be notified via push notification through the VALR app upon receiving a reward, provided notifications have not been disabled.
Any decisions regarding trade volumes, ranking and prize payouts will be made by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion and the Participant agrees to accept any decision made by VALR in terms of the Promotion as final and binding.
Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and promotional activity, could amount to zero and are distributed on both a qualifying and/or first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility and Rewards:
Telegram Activities:
During the Promotional Period, 10 different eligible Participants stand to receive $8.80 airdrops each week, by taking part in certain activities which may include quizzes, social media posting and other activities as published by VALR.
In order to stand a chance to receive a $8.80 airdrop, Participants must, during the Promotional Period:
Achieve fully- verified (KYC 2) status on VALR;
Join the official VALR Telegram community;
Send their Telegram alias to the admin of the official VALR Telegram group via Direct Message (DM); and
Take part in the activities posted by VALR every week during the Promotional Period.

Rewards will be distributed randomly and may be distributed either in full or in part to reward winners. VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion
A total reward pool of $88 will be available each week during the Promotional Period for 10 qualifying Participants, with each Participant receiving $8.80 worth of crypto. Over the course of the Promotional Period, the total reward pool will amount to $264 worth of crypto.
KYC Activity:
In order to be considered for a Mystery Gift reward, Participants must both:
Create a VALR account; AND
and Complete KYC 2 (Fully-verified status) on VALR during the Promotional Period.
The rewards inside the mystery gifts are random values of cryptocurrency.
Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant, and could amount to zero.
VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.
A weekly reward pool of $888 in various crypto currencies will be available to qualifying Participants, with a total reward pool of $2,664 worth of crypto over the Promotional Period.
Rewards ranging from $2 to $8 in cryptocurrency will be allocated within 6-hour blocks on a first-come, first-served basis and will be paid out weekly.
Year Of The Snake Trading Challenge:
Participation is open to all new and existing VALR account holders that have completed KYC 2 and have a Fully-verified status on VALR before or during the Promotional Period and who Deposit and Trade the minimum amounts during the Promotional Period as set out below:
Deposit crypto into your account and keep a net deposit value (against withdrawal value) of at least $50 until the end of the Promotion Period.
Trade at least $100 during the Promotion Period on any trading pairs across Simple Buy/Sell, Spot and/or Futures.
A reward pool of $3,308 USDT will be distributed among the Top 8 qualifying Participants. Rewards will be allocated based on each Participant’s net deposit value (against withdrawal value) relative to other eligible deposits at the end of the Promotion and by trade volume during the Promotion Period.

Refer & Earn Activity:
Each Participant may share their unique VALR referral code with anyone, including their friends and family during the Promotional Period.
In order for a Participant to stand a chance to earn a referral reward (“Referral Reward”), the referred users are required to:
Sign up for a VALR account during the Promotion Period using the Participant referrer’s unique VALR referral code,
achieve at least a Fully-verified (KYC 2) status on VALR during the Promotional Period; AND
trade at least $50 on any Spot pair including simple buy/sell and Margin on VALR during the Competition Period.
The Top 8 Participants with the highest number of qualifying referrals who have achieved a Fully-verified (KYC 2) status on VALR, and also traded at least $50 on any trading pairs across Simple Buy/Sell or Spot during the Promotional Period will share a $1764 USDT prize pool based on the trading volume of their referred Participants.
The Top 8 newly referred qualifying Participants who meet the eligibility criteria will share a $888 USDT prize pool, distributed based on their trading volume.
Personal information:
Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Promotion will be treated in accordance with VALR’s Privacy Policy.
The nitty gritty:
1. The Promotion is open to all VALR customers, except VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers as well as any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries.
2. Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service, VALR’s Futures Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Promotion, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Promotion as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Promotion and VALR may freeze or block such Participant's VALR account.
3. For the purposes of this Promotion, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.
4. VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Promotion without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Promotion, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.
5. VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Promotion and claiming rewards or disqualifying specific trades:
5.1. Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:
Fraud;
Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities;
Use of fake or fraudulent accounts;
Manipulation or violation of these Rules, or
Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading or illegally bulk registered accounts; or
5.2. For any other reason as determined by VALR.
6. If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.
7. VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Promotion has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates.
8. These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
