From 17 to 30 April 2025, VALR is giving eligible new users the chance to unlock a guaranteed mystery gift—simply by completing KYC (fully verifying their account).

The mystery gift could include discounted Futures trading fees or a Bitcoin reward worth up to $1,000, all part of a $5,000 reward pool.

How It Works

To unlock your mystery gift, follow these simple steps:

  1. Create a VALR Account
    You must have registered between 1 January and 30 April 2025 to be eligible.

  2. Fully Verify Your Account (KYC 2)
    Complete full verification on your account between 17 and 30 April 2025.

Once verified, you’ll automatically qualify for a mystery reward from our $5,000 pool.

What’s Inside the Mystery Gift?

The mystery gift may include:

  • Bitcoin Rewards
    Some users will receive Bitcoin rewards varying between $2 and $1,000 in value.

  • Discounted Futures Trading Fees
    Eligible users can earn a rebate on their Futures trading fees—up to a maximum of 100 USDT per person. This rebate will apply to trades made between 2 and 8 May 2025 and will be distributed between 9 and 12 May 2025.

Cryptocurrency-based rewards will be credited within 7 days after the promotion ends.

  • Anyone who signed up for a VALR account between 1 January and 30 April 2025 and completes full account verification during the promotion period.

  • Crypto rewards will be distributed within 7 days after the promotion ends. Rebates on trading fees will be credited between 9 and 12 May 2025.

  • No further action is required. Once your account is fully verified within the promotion window, you’ll automatically qualify for a mystery gift.

  • Making a deposit and trading on VALR may improve your chances of unlocking a higher-value reward valued up to $1,000 in Bitcoin.

VALR’s Mystery Gift Promotion

Promotion Ts & Cs (“Rules”):  

  1. This promotional competition (“Promotion”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).  

  2. This offer may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion prohibit or exclude winning in this current Promotion.  

  3. The Promotion Period begins at 00:00 am UTC, April 17, 2025, and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, April 30, 2025 (“closing date”).  

  4. There is no need to register for this Promotion.

  5. The Promotion is only available to Participants who signed up with VALR between 1 January 2025 and 30 April 2025.

  6. Winners will be announced within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  7. Winners will be notified via push notification or email upon receiving a reward at the end of the Promotion Period.

How to Enter:

To be considered for a Mystery Gift reward, Participants must, during the Promotion Period:  

  1. Create a VALR account if they do not have one already; and  

  2. Complete KYC 2 (Fully-verified status) on VALR.

Note: Depositing any cryptocurrency or fiat into a fully verified VALR account and engaging in trading on the platform will enhance the likelihood of securing the highest-value reward.

Rewards:  

  1. The rewards inside the Mystery Gifts range between Discounted Futures Trading Fees to $1,000 worth of Bitcoin. 

  2. Mystery Gifts containing crypto currencies as a reward will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  3. The Discounted Futures Trading Fees, with a maximum cap of 100 USDT per person, will be rebated to eligible users between May 9 and May 12, 2025, for all trades executed from 00:00 UTC on May 2, 2025, to 23:59 UTC on May 8, 2025.

  4. The Mystery Gift reward budget for this Promotion is $5,000 for rewards containing crypto currencies.

  5. VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.

  6. Rewards may differ per Participant.

Personal information: 

Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Promotion will be treated in accordance with VALR’s Privacy Policy. 

The nitty gritty:

1. The Promotion is open to all VALR customers, excluding VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers and any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries. 

2. Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Promotion, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Promotion as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Promotion and VALR may freeze or block such Participant's VALR account.

3. For the purposes of this Promotion, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.

4. VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Promotion without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Promotion, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.

5. VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Promotion and claiming rewards or disqualifying specific trades:

5.1. Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:

  • Fraud;

  • Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities;

  • Use of fake or fraudulent accounts;

  • Manipulation or violation of these Rules, or

  • Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading or illegally bulk registered accounts; or

5.2. For any other reason as determined by VALR.

6. If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.

7. VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Promotion has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates. 

8. These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Waiver

The Participant hereby releases, waives and discharges VALR and its affiliates from any and all liability, costs or expenses, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever for any loss or damages, that may be sustained by the Participant arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Promotion, or while in any way engaged with activities related to the Promotion, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur, regardless of who is at fault and including as a result of the negligence or fault of VALR or its affiliates.
