How are teams ranked?
Teams are ranked based on the combined monthly trading volume per team, aggregated across Simple Buy & Sell, Spot, Spot Margin and Futures, but excluding USDT/USDC trading pairs.
Terms & Conditions
PROMOTION TS & CS (“RULES”):
- This promotional campaign (“Competition”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).
- This Competition may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion expressly prohibit or exclude participating in this current Competition.
- The Competition period (“Competition Period”) begins at 00:00 am UTC, November 1st, 2025 and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, November 30th, 2025 (“closing date”).
- This Competition is available to all qualifying new and existing customers on VALR with a fully verified account (“Participant/s”).
- Participants must complete the general registration form for this Competition and provide all required details for potential reward distribution. Public aliases (i.e. public VALR usernames) required for registration must be accurately submitted; Incorrect or incomplete information may result in disqualification.
- VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.
- Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and could amount to zero.
- Winners will be announced and rewards will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the closing date.
- Winners of crypto rewards will see rewards automatically credited into their account within 7 days after the Competition has ended.
- Winners may be highlighted in marketing emails such as newsletters, on designated landing pages, and on VALR’s social media pages.
- Mystery Gifts shall be determined by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion. VALR makes no representations or warranties regarding the mystery gift, including but not limited to its fitness for a particular purpose.
- Customers who engage in fraudulent or deceptive activities for the purpose of farming rewards risk being disqualified and blacklisted for any and all future promotions and competitions.
- This Competition is available to all new and existing customers on VALR, who have fully verified their account, and complete the registration form correctly within the Competition Period.

- Participants join a team of choice by completing and submitting the special Google Form and may not change teams during the Competition Period.
- If a Participant joins a team after the Competition Period has already started, their trading volumes from the beginning of the Competition Period will still count towards the rankings.
- A leaderboard on the campaign page will display teams ranked by combined trading volume (across Simple Buy & Sell, Spot, Margin and Futures), and will track average trading volume per team.
- Trading Volumes of participants who have not yet met the minimum trade volume requirements will not count towards average team trade volumes.

Victory Award

The team with the highest combined trading volume at the end of the Competition Period will share a Victory Award of R35,000 worth of crypto:
- The Victory Award will be shared equally among all team members who have traded a minimum of 50,000 USDT in volume over the Competition Period.

The three teams with the highest combined trading volume earn the following rewards:
- #1 - The VALR Cup: R90,000 in crypto.
- #2 - The VALR Plate: R45,000 in crypto.
- #3 - The VALR Shield: R15,000 in crypto.
- Reward pools are shared among team members in proportion to each participant's trading volume relative to the team's total volume, subject to a maximum of R15,000 per participant.
- Rewards are only distributed to participants who have traded at least 5,000 USDT in volume during the Competition Period.

The top 3 traders ranked by trade volume within each team during the Competition Period, will share R6,000 worth of crypto as follows:
- The first ranked trader per team earns R3,000 in crypto.
- The second ranked trader per team earns R2,000 in crypto.
- The third ranked trader per team earns R1,000 in crypto.
Pre-Season Booster
- Traders who join the Competition in the week before the Competition Period starts will receive a Mystery Gift.
- Winners will be notified via email within the first week of the Competition Period.
- Mystery Gifts are determined by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion. VALR makes no representations or warranties regarding any Mystery Gift, including but not limited to its fitness for a particular purpose or participant.
DHL Stormers Extras - Meet & Greets, Merch & Tickets

Discretionary gifts for active participants who perform and excel during the Competition Period stand to earn:
- Meet & Greet opportunities with the DHL Stormers.
- Tickets to DHL Stormers home games.
- DHL Stormers Jerseys or VALR merchandise.
- Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and could amount to zero.
- VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.
- In the case of VALR awarding game tickets, VALR provides game tickets only. Winners are solely responsible for all associated costs, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, meals, and any other expenses incurred in connection with attending the event.
- VALR shall not be liable for any losses, costs, or damages relating to attendance at the DHL Stormers home games.
- VALR accepts no responsibility for any changes to the DHL Stormers home games, including but not limited to scheduling, venue, or event format changes. No alternative reward or compensation will be offered in such cases - rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash or other alternatives.
- VALR makes no representations or warranties regarding the tickets, including without limitation but not limited to their availability, suitability for a particular purpose, specific seating arrangements, or the quality of the event experience.
- VALR shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by winners or their guests in connection with attendance of an event.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Competition will be treated in accordance with VALR's Privacy Policy.
- The Competition is open to all new VALR customers, except VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers as well as any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries.
- Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service, VALR’s Futures Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Competition, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Competition in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Competition as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Competition and VALR may freeze or block such Participant’s VALR account.
- For the purposes of this Competition, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.
- VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Competition without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Competition, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.

VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Competition, suspend their accounts, revoke all associated rewards, and/or disqualifying specific trades:

Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:
- Fraud;
- Fraudulent registration, including providing false identity verification (KYC) information, using others’ KYC details, or registering multiple accounts;
- Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities, including but not limited to click farming, device farming, or using malicious tools for fraudulent purposes;
- Use of fake or fraudulent accounts;
- Manipulation or violation of these Rules, VALR’s rules, VALR’s policies, campaign terms, conditions or announcements (as updated from time to time); or
- Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading, laundering trades or illegally bulk registered accounts; or
- Breach of local regulatory requirements; or
- Any other activities with the intent or result of abusing, disrupting, or undermining the legitimate operation of the Competition, as determined by VALR; or
- For any other reason as determined by VALR.

Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:
- If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.
- VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Competition has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates.
- These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

The Participant hereby releases, waives and discharges VALR and its affiliates from any and all liability, costs or expenses, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever for any loss or damages, that may be sustained by the Participant arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Competition, or while in any way engaged with activities related to the Competition, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur, regardless of who is at fault and including as a result of the negligence or fault of VALR or its affiliates.
