VALR’s First Buy, First Earn is back for April - our ongoing campaign that helps new customers take their first step into crypto with added value.

If you’re new to VALR, sign up, complete your verification, and buy at least $50 in crypto using Simple Buy/Sell between 9 - 25 April 2025, you could:

  • Earn $10 in Bitcoin (available to the first 1,000 qualifying users), and

  • Be randomly selected to earn an extra $25 in Bitcoin - with 20 new users to be drawn after the campaign.

Here’s How It Works

If you're new to VALR, just follow these simple steps during the Promotion Period:

  1. Sign up for a VALR account between 9 and 25 April 2025.

  2. Verify your account.

  3. Buy $50 or more in crypto using VALR’s Simple Buy/Sell feature. (You can make one or more purchases that add up to at least $50).

What You Can Earn

  • $10 in Bitcoin
    All qualifying participants will receive $10 in BTC - limited to the first 1,000 eligible users who complete the steps above during the campaign.

  • $25 in Bitcoin (Random Draw)
    In addition, 20 participants will be randomly selected to each receive $25 in BTC.

Please note: The $25 BTC reward is drawn randomly and not guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • You’ll need to buy at least $50 worth of crypto in total using Simple Buy/Sell during the campaign to qualify.

  • You can make multiple smaller purchases that add up to $50 or more within the campaign period.

  • Rewards will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the campaign ends (post-25 April 2025).

  • Yes - only the first 1,000 qualifying users will receive the $10 BTC reward, and 20 winners will be randomly selected for the $25 BTC bonus.

  • If selected, the reward will be credited to your VALR wallet within 7 business days after the campaign ends.

Promotion Ts & Cs (“Rules”):

  1. This promotional campaign (“Promotion”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).

  2. This Promotion may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion prohibits or excludes winning in this current Promotion. 

  3. The Promotion period (“Promotion Period”) begins at 00:00 am UTC, April 9th 2025 and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, April 25th 2025 (“closing date”).

  4. Winners will be announced within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  5. Rewards will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the closing date.

  6. This Promotion is available to any qualifying new customers on VALR who sign up, fully verify their account, and purchase at least $50 worth of crypto via Simple Buy/ Sell during the Promotion Period.

  7. There is no need to register for this Promotion.

  8. VALR reserves the right to make a determination on the rewards and reward winner(s) in its sole and absolute discretion.

  9. Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and could amount to zero.

  10. Winners of random airdrops as well as winners of the final reward will see rewards automatically credited into their account within 7 days after the promotion has ended, with a winners user alias displayed on the designated web page. Winners may also be highlighted in marketing emails such as newsletters and on VALR’s social media pages. 

Eligibility

  1. The Promotion is available to new VALR customers who have signed up, and completed their KYC 2 (Fully-verified status) on VALR, and purchased at least $50 worth of crypto via Simple Buy/ Sell during the Promotion Period. 

  2. How to enter: 

    1. Sign up with VALR: https://www.valr.com/signup

    2. Complete KYC 2 (Fully- verified status) on VALR

    3. Make one or multiple purchases of any crypto asset worth at least $50 in total via Simple Buy/Sell during the Promotion Period. The value of each purchase is set by the market price at the time of purchase and is denominated in USDT. 

Rewards Specifics

  1. The first 1,000 eligible Participants will receive $10 worth of Bitcoin, distributed on a first-come first-served basis. Additionally, 20 Participants, selected at random, will each receive $25 worth of Bitcoin. 

  2. Rewards will be paid out in Bitcoin only.

Personal information: 

Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Promotion will be treated in accordance with VALR’s Privacy Policy. 

The nitty gritty:

1. The Promotion is open to all new VALR customers including South African passport holders as well residents of South Africa, except VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers as well as any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries.

2. Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Promotion, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Promotion as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Promotion and VALR may freeze or block such Participant's VALR account.

3. For the purposes of this Promotion, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.

4. VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Promotion without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Promotion, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.

5. VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Promotion and claiming rewards or disqualifying specific trades:

5.1. Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:

Fraud;

Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities;

Use of fake or fraudulent accounts; 

Manipulation or violation of these Rules, or

Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading or illegally bulk registered accounts; or

5.2. For any other reason as determined by VALR.

6. If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.

7. VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Promotion has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates. 

8. These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Waiver

The Participant hereby releases, waives and discharges VALR and its affiliates from any and all liability, costs or expenses, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever for any loss or damages, that may be sustained by the Participant arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Promotion, or while in any way engaged with activities related to the Promotion, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur, regardless of who is at fault and including as a result of the negligence or fault of VALR or its affiliates.
